What do you think readers will find most notable about this book?

Dan Fullerton
This book is designed to be a light, comfortable, informal introduction to physics. Math is limited to basic algebra and trigonometry, and sample problems (with full solutions) are included in the text directly after the concepts required for problem solving... no "answer manual" or flipping to the back of the book required. Further, this book is integrated with the APlusPhysics.com website, providing readers an avenue to ask further questions, receive clarification, and even view video demonstrations, take interactive quizzes to check understanding, and create their own learning blogs!

Have you acquired any good anecdotes surrounding this book? If so, could you share one?

Dan Fullerton
A former student of mine, who requested the book as a graduation present, stated that she wished this had been available when she'd been taking physics, as the sample questions with provided solutions "help the readers see how much they know as well as what they still need to practice... it is truly written for students."

Did researching and writing this book teach you anything or influence your thinking in any way?

Dan Fullerton
Writing this book allowed me to more deeply explore the underlying fundamental concepts that a modern course in physics is built upon. Clear, simple objectives with straightforward explanations and repeating themes open a thorough understanding of physics fundamentals to all students with a desire to learn more about the world around them.

Is there any new or established author whom you feel deserves more attention, and what is it that strikes you about his or her work?

Dan Fullerton
Patrick J. Rothfuss produces creative and unique fiction in a genre where so many authors seem content to follow in the footsteps of others. I look forward to seeing where his work takes him.

Jim Butcher's "Dresden Files" novels are fun, light reading that combine exciting plots with the smart-ass remarks you wish you were witty enough to come up with.
