July, 2009; Andrew Curtiss received a Chain Mail in his E-Mail box. The Message was sent to him from a former colleague he served with in the US Army Special Forces at Fort Bragg North Carolina. The subject line of the message read "Congratulations you made the terrorist watch list!" The content suggested that the Department of Homeland Security had labeled millions of Americans who are Constitutionalists, Pro Life, of Christian faith, voters for right wing politics, are combat veterans and more; as potential domestic terrorists. After researching the matter Andrew found that the DHS did in fact publish such a report that was meant to be confidential for law enforcement only. The report was published April 7, 2009. It was during Andrew's research into the matter that he realized the "Fundamental Transformation" of America as promised by Barrack Obama was indeed transforming America into something much like Oceania in George Orwell's "1984". 1984 Redux digs deep into the issues facing Americans today as America "Fundamentally Transforms". Curtiss draws the comparison of where Obama and his leftist handlers and drones want to take America as part of this transformation; to the extreme Socialist Oligarchy depicted in Orwell's "1984". Supported by scores of references and facts, one might be surprised to see how close to Orwell's nightmarish depiction America is headed. 1984 Redux is not only a wake up call to America, but the world; as to what could be if the most influential nation in the world and "last hope for freedom" falls to the left.

Yeah, I was doing so much intense late night research and writing for this book, that my wife accused me of having some sort of online affair with "Internet Sluts"! I am a bit of a binge writer and tend to be most creative from 3 PM to about 3AM. Basically the fact that I get creative at late hours and that I don't stop , once I get started was not good for my married life. But all is well now. I guess she just never knew me to get so into my writing. (Big Smile)

About You: Andrew Curtis
Andrew Curtiss; A.K.A. Andy "The Rabid Wolverine" Curtiss (1978-present) was born in Rome, New York, and grew up in the mountains and hills of upstate New York's Tug Hill area. He was primarily raised by his late grandmother Margaret, and spent his youth engaged training in several martial arts from Wrestling to Tae-Kwan-Do and Muy Thai Kickboxing. By his 17th Birthday he had attained the Men's National Karate Championship title for all 3 divisions in the A.I.K.A. (American Independent Karate Association. He joined the U.S. Army upon his graduation from high school. While serving in the Army in 1998 Andrew became involved No Holds Barred Fighting or with what is now called the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. After turning professional in the sport in 1998 Andrew was forced by the military to no longer compete, due to the hazards of the sport and it's potential effects on his military career.
While in the Army Andrew had served in the elite F. Company 51st Infantry (Long Range Surveillance) unit as an Infantry Paratrooper scout and was later specially selected and trained as a Green Beret. Andrew is a decorated veteran of the Global War on Terror who was nominated for one of the nations highest awards for valor; the Silver Star. Andrew was awarded the Bronze Star with a "V" device. His first book, "Combat Application Techniques: Principles of Destruction," was written based on the military combatives program he had developed for his Special Forces "A" Team. Andrew left service in the Army in 2007 and later rejoined the professional sport of Mixed Martial Arts in 2008 under the nick name of "The Rabid Wolverine," a name he earned from his boxing training partners because of his aggressiveness and his likeness to the Marvel Comic's character "Wolverine".

I really love the classics such as Emerson and Thoreau, Eric Blair...AKA George Orwell, Robert Ludlum. I have really enjoyed their works the most. I really appreciate the irony of their writing, I'm totally into Self reliance and I am amazed at Ludlum's knowledge of trade craft in the Bourne series.
